Why it matters
Maybe more than any other industry, real estate can have a crucial role in issues related to housing and vibrant community life. Realtors are advocates, volunteers, ethicists; working for property rights, fair housing, and economic development.
REACT in the Berkshires
Together with the community, Berkshire REALTORS® inspire and empower each other to identify, support, and sustain charitable organizations that enhance the quality of life in Berkshire County. As a proud committee of the Berkshire County Board of REALTORS, a 501-c6 not-for-profit trade association, we are dedicated to making a positive impact and spreading inspiration. Let's continue to uplift our community and encourage others to join in our mission.
Breaking Bread Kitchen
Coming together to break bread and share a meal is a powerful way to build community. At the American Legion Hall in Sheffield, community groups take turns sponsoring this event. Every 6 weeks, realtors from different agencies join forces to sponsor a dinner. Fairground Real Estate coordinates volunteers, plans the menu, and invites everyone to be a part of this inspiring community effort!
Town Monitors
Town Monitors are the key players that connect the Berkshire Board of REALTORS to the communities we serve. A Town Monitor can raise any issue related to real estate and private property rights affecting the community. The board will take this information, research it, learn about potential impact, strategist our reaction, share information and mobilize our members. Fairground Real Estate has four sales associates currently serving as town monitors in Berkshire County.
